Aisha Jamila is an American actress best known for her roles in TV series The Shield and True Blood. Since her first appearance in 2003 she has proved her versatility in the role of actress with stunning performances on television shows like 9-1-1 Detroit 1-8-7 and Under the Dome. Her performance as a character in Assault on Precinct 13 from 2005 was the very first role to draw her interest. But it was her performance as the women's rights campaigner Fannie Lou Hamer from the documentary film All the Way that finally brought her recognition as an actress. Hind was praised for her portrayal of Harriet Tubman, in WGN America's historical drama Underground. She currently stars on the procedural drama series 9-1-1 in the leading role of firefighter/paramedic Henrietta Hen Wilson. 20th Century Fox Television has renewed the series for the third season. Hind is currently filming the Hollywood feature Godzilla: King of the Monsters. It is scheduled to release mid-2019. She returned to Bollywood to make the cult Dhoom: 2 (2006) and then released Provoked: A True Story (2006) in English. Abhishek Bachchan is a Bollywood celebrity and a frequent co-star.
